A Holiday Treasures Workshop

Over the years I've been asked by dozens of folks who have come to see my work if I have ever considered teaching classes on the techniques I use to create my various works of art. This holiday season I’ve decided to take on that challenge, jump into those creative waters and see how if feels.

This weekend, Saturday December 14th, I am making the leap with a class on the creation of “holiday treasures,” like journals, gift boxes, and other personal pieces, using my “cracked linen” technique and working with a small group of people to explore some fun applications of my technique that can let you create one-of-a-kind, heirloom quality gifts for the holidays.

If you’re one of those people who has always wondered how I do what I do, or maybe you would just like to make a truly unique gift… this is your chance!

We will be meeting in Petaluma, at the Mentor Me Cavanagh Center at the corner of 8th and G Street. They have a wonderful art room with lots of light and plenty of space, where we will be holding the class and you will have plenty of room and time to explore the process and create a wonderful gift. I also plan on having supplies and kits you can purchase to take home and use the techniques you learn to make additional gifts (and maybe even some unique holiday ornaments).

The cost of the class is $225 and includes 6 hours of class time (with an hour off for lunch) and all the materials to make your special gift.

To find out more about the class and to sign up go to https://robertaahrens.gallery. The response to the class has been terrific and it’s filling up fast. I only have a few spots left, so if you’re interested drop on by and sign up.

It’s going to be a fun and creative time and I hope you’ll join us.
